Honoring Our Veterans

Today, the officers and members of the Slater Chemical Fire Company pause to honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication have protected the freedoms we hold dear.

As firefighters and volunteers, we understand the meaning of service — and we are deeply grateful to all veterans, especially those within our own department who have served past and present and who have worn both the uniform of our country and have taken the oath to serve and protect our community.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your example.
