The Officers & Members of the Slater Chemical Fire Company, along with the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Glenham Fire District, announce the passing of 83 year old Life Member and Past District Commissioner, Everett "Sonny" Way (8/26/39 - 9/13/22). Sonny joined the company as an Active Firefighter in 1957 and later held a company position as a Director as well. In 1957, he also enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served our Country until he was honorably discharged in 1960.

Everett is survived by his daughters, Laura Ostrander & her husband Alan and Cindy Fingar & her life partner James VanDyke; his grandchildren, Walter Fingar & his wife Ashley , Michael Fingar & his wife, Nicholas Ostrander & his wife Nicole and Mary Elizabeth (Emme) Ostrander; his great-grandchildren, Hayden Dennick-Fingar, Caleb Ostrander and Cameron Ostrander; his siblings, Janet Broas, David Way & his wife Valerie, Sharon Hundley and Linda Ramos; his former spouse and friend, Patricia Way; and nine nieces and nephews as well as many other loving friends.

He will be missed by all.
