The Glenham Fire Department is participating in the Samaritan's Purse, OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD program this year and we're asking our community to join in to help serve underprivileged children throughout the world this Christmas! We'll be providing Shoeboxes at no cost for you to pick up and fill with appropriate small gifts (packing information will be provided). We're hoping that you'll also cover the $10 cost of the return labels which will allow you to track exactly where your Shoebox Gift goes. You'll drop the completed Shoebox back off to us at the firehouse and we'll move it forward from there.
Shoeboxes are now available and we will start distribution on Saturday, October 26th (6 PM - 6:30 PM) and then Monday the 28th - Wednesday the 30th from 6 PM - 8 PM. More times will be added and we can make delivery available if needed. For now, we ask that you email a request for one or more to Shoebox@glenhamfire.com so that we can reserve them for you to pick up (we only ordered 100 for now). In order to reach the children in time for Christmas, this will be a fast turnaround request as the collection week is November 18th - 25th and we'll need the last days to get them over to a major collection site.
