Last night's training on our Personal Protective Clothing (PPC) and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).

Gearing up, or donning gear, appropriately is our first step to safety on any sort of scene, whether that's a fire, car accident, or another rescue situation.

Our gear alone adds 60 pounds to our person, and that's not counting any additional tools we need! So using our gear often, and getting used to the weight while working, is extremely important!
