It is with heavy hearts that the Officers, Members and Board of Fire Commissioners of the Glenham Fire Department announce the passing of our Past Chief, Michael Burke. Mike was a dedicated Life Member of Slater Chemical Fire Company in Glenham, where he served as Chief from 1995 – 2001 and as a 38 year member from 1986 - until yesterday, May 8, 2024. He also volunteered for Protection Engine Company #1, Village of Fishkill Fire Department. Mike was beloved by the membership of both organizations.

Mike was pre-deceased by the love of his life, Flossie, in 2020 and is survived by his son, Daniel Burke & his wife Christina of Fishkill; his daughter, Courtney Burke of Florida; his grandson, Jackson Burke; his mother, Patricia Way of Florida; his sister, Pam Keil; as well as several nieces & nephews and many other loving relatives & friends.

Mike's smile and love of his family, the fire service, and the communities surrounding him will surely never be forgotten. Rest easy brother. We've got it from here.
